How We Review Products
Every product that appears on Finder's Forge goes through the same four-step process below, on top of the eligibility gates described in our Editorial Standards. Reviews are credited to a named member of our editorial team, assigned by subject-matter fit.
Market Research
We identify product categories where consumers face the most confusion, the highest stakes, or the widest gap between marketing claims and actual value.
Multi-Point Evaluation
Each product is scored on core functionality, pricing transparency, customer support responsiveness, refund policies, and independent user sentiment.
Comparative Analysis
Products are benchmarked against direct competitors so our recommendations reflect the best available option — not just a good one in isolation.
Ongoing Monitoring
Published recommendations are periodically re-checked for pricing changes, feature updates, and shifts in user satisfaction. Stale picks get flagged and replaced.
What "Multi-Point Evaluation" Covers
- Core functionality — does the product do what it claims to do?
- Pricing transparency — are costs clear up front, with no hidden fees?
- Customer support responsiveness
- Refund policy and terms
- Independent user sentiment, not just vendor-supplied testimonials
This process, combined with our selection rubric and conflict-of-interest policy, is why we reject roughly 90% of the products we evaluate. See the full team behind these reviews on our About page.
